This occasional exhibition by nine authors will be available for visit until April 5th, every weekday from 10 am to 1 pm.
This exhibition presents ten authors who attended the art workshop of the painter Dagmar Franolić from autumn 2011 to spring 2012. The authors presented at the exhibition are: Anamarija Žic, Ivan Car, Draženka Radoš Radivojac, Iva Pintar Jakovljević, Sanja Topalušić Orlović, Sandra Dubravica, Katarina Znaor, Biserka Franolić, Lidija Dunato and Marija Fiorentin.
Some of these authors have already experienced working with paint and brush, both through attending the workshop and through independent work, while some have so far only had a great desire to paint. So, we slowly started to adopt pencil drawing, worked on perspective and hatching, and then moved on to colors.
As each participant had different affinities, we used the techniques of watercolor and acrylic, as well as tempera. While we found inspiration in famous painters whose works we studied, our goal was to find our own expression and learn how to turn our own idea into an image.
Thus, some paintings were created at the workshop itself, and some were created after the workshop with the great persistence of the exhibitors.
